Nellie Angela  Waltz was born in Dayton Township, Iowa County, Iowa, on Aug. 22, 1890,  the son of Jacob Michael Waltz and Angela Mary Wagner. 

Before she was born, her family lived in Chest Springs, Cambria County, Pa.  Her parents were encouraged to move to Iowa by her maternal grandparents, Jacob and Jane Wagner.

On June 18, 1913, she married Charles Elmer Lee in Pasadena, California.  Charles was born on April 11, 1890, the son of Thomas Joseph Lee and Bridget M. Heston.

Nellie and Charles had two children:

Nellie died on Nov. 6, 1940 in Pasadena.  Charles died on Oct. 29, 1953, also in Pasadena.
