George Martin Berst & Eve Marie Stark Family Baptismal Records Baptismal Records of all the children of George Martin Berst (also called Bersch) and Marie Eve Stark (also called Starck) living in March 1830. Accompanying this document was the following message from Mary: This document, written on real parchment, at the present time (2003) is in the possession of the Senftle family of Maryland. It appears to be a listing of the baptismal records of all the children of George Martin Berst (also called Bersch) and Marie Eve Stark (also called Starck) living in March 1830. The family lived in Riedseltz, Alsace, France. Shortly thereafter the family appears in Buffalo, NY. It is assumed that the immigrants had these papers drawn up to assist them in identity in their new country. The document appears to have been passed down in order, parent to child, in this fashion: George Martin Berst, to Peter Berst, to Mary Ann Berst (m. Ruble), to Mary Ann Ruble (m. Weppner), thence to the Senftle Family.
