Andreas Gärtner

Andreas Gärtner was born on Feb. 28, 1774 in Weiperz. His parents were Andreas Gärtner and Katharina Schäfer. On Sept. 9, 1800, when Andreas was 26, he married Maria Bibiana Resch. Maria Bibiana was born on Dec. 1, 1771 in Weiperz, the daughter of Johann Resch and Anna Barbara Hack. Andreas and Maria Bibiana lived in Weiperz.

.They had eight children:

	Maria Gertrud Gärtner, born Dec. 15, 1801
	Johannes Conrad Gärtner, born Oct. 5, 1803
	Lucia Elisabetha Gärtner, born Dec 15, 1805
	Walburga Gärtner, born Feb. 25, 1808
	Andreas Gärtner, born May 25, 1810
	Andreas Gärtner, born Jul. 5, 1813
	Johann Peter, born Feb. 25, 1819. Johann Peter died at the age of 2 on April 23, 1821
	Johann Peter, birth date unknown

I don't really understand why they would name two children in a row Andreas. I can somewhat understand it if the first one dies young (as was the case with Johann Peter), but in this instance, that was not the case.

Andreas (Sr.) died in Weiperz at the age of 71 on Mar. 8, 1845. Maria Bibiana died on Sept. 24, 1848 at the age of 56.
