Andreas Gärtner

Andreas Gärtner was the son of Petri Gärtner and Elisabeth Stubin. He was born on July 16, 1748 in Weiperz, Hesse, German on Jan. 27, 1749 (may have been 1750). When Andreas was 23, he married Katharina Schäfer, daughter of Peter Schäfer and Cunigunde Müller. Katharina was born on Dec. 29, 1746 in Weiperz. Andreas and Katharina lived in Weiperz, Hesse, Germany

Andreas and Katharina had nine children:

	Gertrud Gärtner, born Jun. 26, 1775
	Nicolaus Gärtner, born Jan. 15, 1777
	Elisabetha Gärtner, born Jan. 22, 1780
	Eva Elisabetha Gärtner, born Jan. 19, 1782
	Johannes Gärtner, born May 29, 1784
	Andreas Joseph Gärtner, born March 8, 1787
	Anna Maria Gärtner, born Jun. 5, 1790

Andreas (Sr.) died in Weiperz on May 26, 1807 when he was 58. Katharina died at the age of 48 on Mar. 9, 1795.
