A total of 242 48th Regimental Service Medal were awarded 1816 for the Period of War 1794-1814 only 25 have been located at present. They were to members of the 48th who were in Sydney at the time . Many are still to be located and identified ,4 are known to be in Australia . No Officer was issued with this medal
