NEW -
William Gallop, Revolutionary Soldier - This is the text of Louise
Walker's book about the Gallop family. I've seen research that disputes her
conclusions, so I cannot tell which is correct and what is not. I
suspect that she has better information, especially since she had
concentrated on this line. I have William Gallop and his wife Hannah
as descended from Benjamin Gallup and Theoda Parke. Take a look at
this and see if there is some info that is useful for your research.

Lt. General George W. Gallup - This Gallup served in the Civil War.
Nearest I can figure, he is a son of Gideon Gallup & Mariah Waggoner,
grandson of Gideon Gallup and Lucy Waugh, and great-grandson of Nathan
Gallup and Sarah Giddings. There is a photograph of him and and short
biography on this site.
