Sunlight On Princes Mall

Here is another photograph of Scots sunbathing on Princes Mall. Sunlight this bright is, we are told, about as rare in Edinburgh as snow in Tahiti - but here it is. Scots, erstwhile dour shopkeepers, canny philosophers or fierce pub-fighters, are now stretched out on the grass, exposing pale bare limbs to the ultraviolet rays of summertime. This reminds me of the scene in "Trainspotting" in which Ewan MacGregor takes potshots at similarly sunbathing Scots with a BB gun.
