Gallagher, B.C. (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, December 23, 1926): Through the courtesy of B.C. Gallagher, the primary department of the Congregational Sunday School was able to reach the homes of a number of shut-ins where Christmas carols were sung by the little folks. The children enjoyed the sleigh ride, as the weather was mild. Pg. 7, Col. 1.

Waltz, Mrs. J.W. Dow, Mrs. Ella Reinoehl, deaconesses. Mrs. DeFoe was named as superintendent of the Sunday school; Mrs. F.L. Smith, Mrs. J.W. Clizer, assistants; Mrs. Gallagher secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Annie Dow, primary superintendent. Holdover trustees are Mr. Reinoehl, Mr. Gallagher, C.A. LaVigne, P.D. Rowan, Mrs. C.H. Dunlap. Rev. W.J. Waltz, pastor, outlined plans for the coming year. At the conclusion of the dinner a short program was enjoyed, Miss Eva Chapman, Miss Catherine Denison and Miss Margaret Wilson contributing numbers. Clara Alm was at the piano. (more in article)

Gallagher, Charles (Chewelah Independent, Friday, February 15, 1924): During the week that Dr. J.H. Martin, the State Veterinary Inspector, was in this vicinity a total of 207 cattle were tested for tuberculosis. Of this number there were only two reactors, belonging to Mrs. Fred Jetter and Rev. Gallagher, B.C. (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, January 20, 1927): The Mother Superior of the local St. Mary school, after a meeting with members of the hospital committee, appointed last week to investigate ways and means of securing a hospital for Chewelah, now that the Valley institution has been destroyed, left yesterday morning for Cottonwood, Idaho, to confer with the mother of St. Gertrude convent there. At a meeting held in the city hall Friday evening, at which there were about 30 present, the feeling that there was a need of a hospital here was unanimous. C.J. Wallace acted as presiding officer and Louis A. Conyard acted as secretary, later on motion of Dr. S.P. McPherson, these men being elected as permanent officers of the tentative organization charged with the responsibility of bringing a hospital into existence here. Persons involved: Dr. McPherson, Louis A. Conyard, Father Joseph Stang, L.G. Richard, Paul Rowan, C.C. Casey, B.C. Gallagher, G.M. Stapish and W.W. Gillies. After the committee had finished its work the meeting was thrown open and M.F. Mendenhall of the Mount Spokane Power company, of Deer Park, presented a proposition to take over the Kulzer home, now known as Vallemont, and convert it to a hospital. Mr. Mendenhall asks $20,000 for the property, including 40 acres of land, with 15 years time to pay for it, drawing interest at 6 percent. (Much more in article). Pg. 1, Cols. 1 & 2.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Friday, February 22, 1924): Mrs. Jessie Lynn of Meyers Falls was here for a few days last week, a guest of her sisters, Mrs. T.B. Morris and Mrs. B.C. Gallagher.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, October 22, 1925): Prof. E.F. Gaines of Pullman, originator of Riditt wheat, is spending the week here visiting relatives and hunting in the nearby mountains. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Gaines, accompanied him from Pullman and are guests of their children, Mrs. T.B. Morris, Mrs. B.C. Gallagher and Mrs. J.T. Parkins. The Gaines are pioneers of this section.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, March 18, 1926): Mattie Gaines Clark and Anthony Manchester, both of Pullman, were married in Moscow, Idaho, March 1, 1926. Mrs. Manchester spent her girlhood here, being a sister of Mrs. T.B. Morris and Mrs. B.C. Gallagher.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, March 17, 1927): Little folks to the number of 51 gathered in the Congregational Church parlors Saturday afternoon for two hours of games and good times. Each girl wore a green sash and each boy a green tie and were given Irish names for the rest of the afternoon. Mrs. J.W. Dow, primary superintendent, was assisted at the refreshment hour by Mrs. C.C. Casey, Mrs. F.W .Peterson, Miss Dorothy Bricka, Mrs. B.C. Gallagher, Mrs. Walter Luttrell, Mrs. J.A. DeFoe and Mrs. M.B. Acorn. Pg. 5, Col. 2.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, May 26, 1927, Pg. 2, Col. 1) Charles Gaines, state seed inspector, with headquarters at Olympia, made a hurried trip through Chewelah last week in his official capacity. He is a home-town young man, but had barely time for a hello, to his many relatives and friends here. He is a brother of Mrs. B.C. Gallagher and Mrs. T.B. Morris.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, July 10, 1930) Pg. 2, Col. 1: Mae Gains, 14-year-old daughter of Dr. E.F. Gaines of Pullman, the latter a pioneer resident here, will represent the state in the school novice division at Richmond, Va., in an international typing contest. In a recent test for state honors she wrote 64 words a minute for 15 minutes without error. With her parents she will go to Europe this summer previous to the contest in the fall. Miss Gaines is a niece of Mrs. B.C. Gallagher.

Gallagher, B.C. (Mrs.) (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, October 8, 1931): Page 6, Col. 2: Mrs. S.A. Stewart will head the organization of the Bible class at the Congregational-Christian Sunday school as its president, Mrs. A.M. Tomlinson will serve as vice-president; Mrs. B.C. Gallagher, secretary-treasurer; F.L. Smith and Mrs. A.M. Tomlinson as chairmen of the Lookout committees and Mrs. R.J. Morgan as chairman of the visiting committee.

Gallagher, Hallie (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, January 28, 1926): Making honor roll in the third grade at the Chewelah school are: Eva Peters, Hazelbeth Standish, Hallie Gallagher, Alma Rayborn, Dorothy Elliot, Albert Batelaan, Vera Clark, Dora Ellen Hall, Evelyn Cole, Irene Luttrell, Shirley Jenne, Oral Workman.

Gallagher, Hallie (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, March 11, 1926): The name of Hallie Gallagher, 9-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Gallagher, appears in the March 4 issue of the Youth Companion drawing contest for 6 to 10 year olds. The little miss has considerable natural artistic ability, which will, no doubt, bring her further awards in later years as her talent is developed.

Gallagher, Hallie (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, October 28, 1926): Rally day services at the Congregational church were largely attended Sunday and a splendid program was carried out. Hallie Gallagher was presented with a Bible by the Sunday school as a reward for having successfully completed a course of memory work. Ten 4-year-olds were given certificates of promotion from the cradle roll to the beginners department. Hazelbeth Standish, Hallie Gallagher, Harold Steffenson, Irene Luttrell, Evelyn Cole and Dora Ellen Hall were promoted from the primary to the junior department.

Gallagher, Doyle (Chewelah Independent, Friday, February 29, 1924): A triple birthday party was celebrated Friday afternoon at the home of Ruth DeFoe, little Ruth being the hostess to 21 little boys and girls. The chief attraction were three birthday cakes, one for Ruth DeFoe, with 6 candles, one for Mary Turk, with 3 candles, and one for Doyle Gallagher, with 4 candles.

Gallagher, Doyle (Chewelah Independent, Thursday, March 4, 1926): The primary department of the congregational church put on a pleasing program in honor of their friends whose birthdays occurred in February, Sunday. 60 were in attendance, the services being in charge of Mrs. J.W. Dow, a pioneer school teacher, many of the children parents having gone to school to her. The birthday guests included Mrs. W.W. Dickson, Mrs. Robert Johnson, J.A. DeFoe, J.H. Hillen, Miss Clara Hutson, Mrs. Eno Coulson, Betty Jean Gillies, Valdine Johnson, Edward Hattrup, Mary Turk, Ruth DeFoe, Doyle Gallagher, Ernestine and Ermina Millay, George Bricka, Jr., and Mrs. J.W. Dow.
