married UNKNOWN c. 1810. She was born Bet. 1795 -

Notes for CONSTANT WOODWORTH:
Constant WOODWORTH is listed in the 1850 Michigan Mortality Schedules as
a 64 year old male; widowed; born in Connecticut; died in February;
a
farmer; died of inflammation of the lungs-8 days. He is in the 1820
census of Gaines, Genesee Co., New York, and in 1828 bought land in
Salem, Washtenaw Co., Michigan. He is most likely the father of
Whitely,
Orange, and Delaware WOODWORTH, and is a DNA confirmed descendant of
Walter WOODWORTH of Scituate, Mass, who was an immigrant from possibly
Kent, England. His father is perhaps Jedediah, shown on page 101 of the
Woodworth
Family of America by Jeanette Woodworth Behan. A Constant, born c.
1780's, is
listed as a child of Jedediah. Constant is an unusual name in the Woodworth
family
and there is only one other Constant in this time period, his Uncle Constant,
a brother
of Jedediah. His uncle spent his lifetime in Connecticut and is older, so
the records of
the two are easily separated.

Notes for wife of Constant:
Research has yet to uncover the name of Constant's wife. From the records
of the poorhouse,
Washtenaw Co. 1836-1846, there is a Lucinda Woodworth, from Pittsfield Twp.,
who entered the
poorhouse on 17 August 1843 and was on the 1844, 1845, and 1846 reports as
an inmate. In Forest
Hills Cemetery, Ann Arbor, is buried a Lucinda L. Woodworth, b. New Hampshire,
who died on
15 Jan 1848 age 63. This would make her the right age and she died in the
right time frame to be
a possible wife of Constant. Further research needs to be done to identify
the name of Constant's wife.
