From book by Richard Matthews - Marched with his older brother Peter, and
was arrested for his involvement in the rebellion. He was later, released
and given a pardon by Governor George Arthur following the execution of
Peter. He & his family left the Pickering area, and what became of them
is unknown. His wife was Adeline Elizabeth Matthews. Their children names
