Bourg(ue). was born in Port Royal in 1662. He was the fifth son
and tenth child in a family of thirteen children of Antoine
Bourg and Antoinette
Landry.
Abraham had some schooling as he signed his name
as witness at the wedding of his son Michel, on April 22, 1720. Other
witnesses were unable to write their signatures.
About 1683, Abraham married Marie Brun, born
in 1659 in Port Royal. She was the daughter of Vincent
Brun and Marie-Renee
Brot. (Another site has her name as Renee
Marie Breaux, circa 1683 at Port Royal, Acadie.)
