The Petition of Mary Doble widow of the late Rob't Doble humbly sheweth that her late husband at his descease was in possession of a lot of Land which he had paid the Patent fees on being a clergy reserve namely No 3 14th Consession of Reach and your Petitioner being desirous to Purchase said land for the support of a large helpless family your petitioner humbly hopes that your Excellency will order said land to be sold to her
We the undersigned being the executors to the late Rob't. Doble a copy of whose will is in your excellency's office would recommend the division of the above described land as set forth in the Petition.

The W1/2 of Lot 3 in 14 Conc Reach has been applied for to purchase by John Shier Sen'r. who stated that he had a claim to the same. The lot has not been inspected nor valued. I would recommend that a decision on this case be deferred until the lot has been inspected by a competent person sent by the department.

The humble petition of Mary Doble widow of the late Robert Doble diceased most humbly sheweth that she is living on lot No 3 in the fourteenth concession of the Township of Reach this five years past and hus? had paid the patent fees on said lot and likewise has paid one instalment on the same on the 1th day of Sept 1836 and can get no title of it from the commissioners, your humble petitioner most humbly showeth that she is the mother of seven orphans of which three of them are helpless your humble petitioner most humbly imploreth that your excellency will cause a title to be given unto her of the said lot as there is 30 acres cleared on the same and a house and barn built on the said lot and if she is deprived of it she is not able to provide for her weak family therefore your humbe petitioner hopes your Excellency will take her distress into consideration and will be forever on duty bond to pray
We the undersigned do certify and solemnly affirm that the above statement is correct and that there is no other person living on said lot nor never has been.

Personally appeared before me William Bagshaw Esq. one of his Majestys Justice of the peace in and for the said District, Patrick Garry and John Irvine yeoman both of the Township of Brock in the Distric aforesaid and maketh oath and sayeth that Mary Doble widow of Rob't Doble diceased is living and residing on ot No 3 in fourteenth Con'on of the Township of Reach in this District and that no other person or persons is reciding at the present on this afforesaid Lot or has made any improvement on it only her and family.

John Truax of the Township of Brock in said Districk, Yeoman, maketh oath and saith that he is and has been for upwards of ten years well known to the situation of the Clergy Tessena? Lot No. Three in the fourteenth connces? of the said Township of Brock from frequently passing it on his way to the mills. That Robert Doble and his family are the only persons that ever occupied on impreved the said Lot, and that since the decease of the said Robert Doble, his widow and family have continued to do so in the present time and no other persons ever have.
Sworn before me at the City of Toronto this first day of February 1837

In the name of God, Amen, the fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four. I Robert Doble of Reach in the County of York in the Home District, and Province of Upper Canada, being weak and feeble of body and of sickly constitution, but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do commend my soul to God who gave it me and my Body to the grave to be decently interred; Do make this my last will and testament. And as touching my worldly concerns, I do hereby dispose thereof, with what substance or property. Goods or chattles, holdings and so forth in my present possession, in form and in manner as follows, namely:
To my sons, John and James Doble, I will and bequeath, all my right, titles and interest of, in, and to, the land, whereon I now reside with an injunction that they shall cultivate the same and support their mother and the rest of my children out of the profits thereof, until they, the said John and James Doble, become of age; and upon the said John Doble's becoming of Age, he is by this my will entitled to possess himself of and take into his own possession the south half of said land which I bequeath to him. To the said James Doble on his becoming of Age, I will and bequeath the North half of the land aforesaid, and to my wife Mary Doble otherwise Connor, and to my younger children, I will and bequeath all the cattle and stock which I at present possess, together with what increase of same there may be to the time of their the said John and James Doble respectively attaining the age of twenty one years.
To my said wife and my son Robert, I will and bequeath, the fifty acres of land which I hold in the township of Uxbridge in said County and my wife is to retain and enjoy possession of same untill her decease, upon which time said land reverts to my said son Robert, to whom I bequeath the same on the demise of his mother.
My said wife I also leave the disposal of twenty four acres of land, be the same more or less, which I also possess in the said township of Uxbridge, and by this my will, she is and empowered, to dispose of, or sell the same, for her own benefit, and that of my younger children if she thinks proper.
To my daughter Mary Acton, otherwise Doble, I bequeath the sum of ten shillings currency
And I do appoint my Brother John Doble and his son Robert, executors to this my will and testament, with power to arbitrate and settle any disputes that may arise among my family subsequent to my death, and I do empower them to arrange and settle any other matters relative to the disposal of my property as to them shall seem best. Given under my hand this fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty four
