Albert went to Liverpool camp in 1918 preparatory to joining the War.
He joined the Volunteer Defence Corp (the "militia"?) in WWII - in the mortar brigade? and practiced at North Rocks on weekends. 3
Albert married Amy Cornelia Evans, daughter of Edgar Evans and Emily Jane Kingdon, on 25 Apr 1923 in Lugar Brae at Bronte or St Lukes at Clovelly, NSW. (Amy Cornelia Evans was born in 1898 in Mosman, NSW 4, died on 19 Jul 1944 in Austral Avenue, Beecroft, NSW 4,5 and was buried on 20 Jul 1944 in Church of England Section, Northern Suburbs Cemetery, NSW 4.) The cause of her death was pulmonary Tuberculosis.
