Twentieth Letter

Corrected Version:

Arlington Dec 1st

1861

Dear Brother, [ Albert Fuller]

I received your letter last Monday. I was glad to hear that all the folks were well. I am well at present. I hope this will find [you] enjoying the same blessing.

Governor Randall was here and delivered an address to this brigade on Thanksgiving day at the Lee house.

I received a letter tonight from Alpha Ann and Le(?)on for which I was very glad. The paper has not come yet. I am going to answer them next. I was glad to hear that the money was safe. The weather is pretty cold and wet out here. Although we do not suffer much, we have got our full blue uniform now. It looks first rate.

I think you done jolly well with the old horses. I was sorry to hear such news from the east. I should think Aunt Lydia was getting quite a family.

I wrote a letter to Caleb last Monday.

We are here [at] Arlington yet as you see. When we shall leave, it is impossible to say. We are expecting to march every day. We have not heard anything about going to Missouri out here yet. It is getting time for roll call and I must stop. Give my love to all the folks. Tell Dewitt I should like to have him write to me. Give him and Levine(?) my best respects. And Jane too.

From your brother,

Charles W Fuller
