H. C. COOPER, JR., & CO. 1920 Blattner, Edward (page 725), for a number of years a well known and popular member of the agricultural community of Oakwood Township, was born on his father's farm in this township November 24, 1892, son of John and Amalia (Hartle) Blattner. He acquired his education in District School No. 44, Oakwood Township. His industrial career has followed agricultural lines, and he always remained on the old homestead, of which he bought 120 acres in 1916, and until 1919 was engaged in mixed farming, keeping dairy cattle. He has fenced his part of the farm, built a garage, and made other general improvements, and is in prosperous circumstances. In 1920 he sold the farm and now resides in Rochester, Minn.
