FRIESNER FAMILY
This is a website for people
researching the Friesner name,
specifically decendents of Johannes
Friesner who arrived in the US in
1750.
This is a website about the family name of Friesner. Most of the people on this website descend from Johannes Friesner who arrived at
Philadelphia, PA on the ship "Brothers" on 24 August 1750. We lose Johannes from that point until 1771 when he is a witness to a baptism with
Susannah Grimm. On 12 April 1773 he and Susannah Grimm were married in Lancaster, Lancaster County, PA. From that point we know that
they had 4 children, Henry, Frederick, Maria and John Michael. We have information on the descendants of all 3 sons of Johannes and Susannah.
As yet we have not been able to trace descendents of Maria, who married James Cahoon in 1807 in Rockingham County, VA.
We are publishing this website in the hopes that with the information here people related to the Friesners can connect up their line and we can
gain more information on the Friesner Family. There are 2 goals for us. One is to trace the descendents of Maria Friesner and James Cahoon and
the other is to fill in the 20 or so years from Johannes Friesner's arrival in the US to his marriage to Susannah Grimm. If we can do that we may be
able to find out where he came from in Europe. There doesn't seem to be another Friesner family in that time period. Friesner is an unusual name
and the only one we have been able to find is Johannes.
Welcome To Our Friesner Family Website.
