Introduction for Family Stories

One hundred and fifty years has passed since the first of my ancestors arrived in this country. During that time they all suffered the trials of survival in a strange country, each with their own story of success. Some happy while others are very sad, but each an interesting historical story of conditions and events in their lives.

Over the years I have accumulated a number of stories from interviews with family members and my intent of this page is to present them for what they are, memories, not necessarily facts as required of genealogy. Each month, (time permitting), a different family will be selected and appear here with a few pictures, so you will want to check back frequently - your family may be next.

This month's feature is on the Faught family, descendants of Charles German and Emelie (Amelia) Minnie Richter Bonesteel. A narration of the known events in their lives. I've tried to include a picture for as many members of the family as I could and you will experience a slow load time for that page, so please be patient.

I would like to thank Donna Fay Akin Thompson, daughter of Willard Lloyd and Norma Fay Faught Akin, for contributing these stories and pictures.

I hope you enjoy this new feature. Every life is a story, and if you would like to contribute either your family story or pictures for a future presentation, please contact me.
