Regarding the following entry in the St. George Cemetery:
James 1872 - 1932
Leo E. His Son 1902 - 19__
Rose GRAVLIN His Wife 1880 - 1939
Mary 1841 - 1931
Louis 1841 - 1929
Louis March 6, 1841 - Dec. 29, 1890
Mary E. Dec. 15, 1841 - Jan. 27, 1931
(NOTE: This stone was listed by Coleman but was not found by me.)
The second stone listed by Coleman was removed by Leo E. Gardner when the existing Granite stone was placed. The first, and now missing stone was a concrete cross made by James Gardner for his parents. My mother remembers when he made it. The dates were perhaps unreadable by Coleman. Louis and Mary Gardner were the parents of James. Louis died on Dec. 29, 1929. Mary died Jan 25, 1931. She was buried on the 27th.
Leo E, Gardner, my uncle, died Sept 12, 1976 in Coolidge, Arizona. He is buried in California.
Incidentally, both James and Rose died in 1938, about 6 MONTHS apart, not 6 YEARS. So the Granite stone is incorrect also. My mother, Irene Gardner, who is still living, was orphaned at 15.
Thought you might like to know about the stones.
