Murphy for L700; 250 acres (being the land Robert Lawry lived on, and now 
in the possession of said Murphy), corner to Wm. Edmiston.  (Robert Lawry 
died intestate before making a legal title to John Murphy).  Sg: William 
Lawry; Rec: 01 Feb 1780.  Wts: none listed.

04 Jun 1782:  Samuel Patterson and Charles Campbell.  Excr's for the Estate 
of William Edmiston, dec'd. to Arthur Beatty, for L200, 130 acres (now in 
his possession) corner to John Murphy.  Sg: Samuel Patterson & Charles 
Campbell.  Rec: 04 Jun 1782.  Wts: none listed.

______ 1788:  Arthur Beaty and wife Elinor Beaty, to Hugh Cummins for 150; 
130 acres now in his possession, lying next to John Murphy.  Sg: Arthur Beaty 
and Elinor Beaty.  Rec: 01 Apr 1788 (Elinor released her dower).  Wts: none listed.


Deed Book S, p. 314:  30 September 1834   $800.00  John Murphy and Mary his 
wife and Betsy Hall to Andrew Miller.  John Murphy purchased from William Hall, 
now deceased, 225 Acres on waters of Buffalo, adjoining Wm. Murphy, Joseph Cloyd 
and others and formerly adjoining Wm. Reid, David Kingan and Hugh Allen, and the 
said Wm. Hall (John Hall, Samuel Hall, James Hall, and Sally his wife, John 
Houston and Polly his wife, heirs of Wm. Hall conveyed to John Murphy 5 Sep 
1830).  Begin Reid's and Allen's corner, with Reid's line, mentions Hugh Allen's 
corner.
