25 Oct 1842		James Burney to Dr. John Smith.  $75 
an  undivided 1/4 part of 114 acres on the northeast side of 
Cape Fear River formerly the widows dower laid off to Sarah 
Mulford 114 acres granted to William Salter in the year 1736...
the said 1/4 part of 114 acres intended to be conveyed descended 
to Peyton Duncan in right of his wife Sarah who was the daughter 
of said widow Sarah Mulford and was deeded by said Duncan and wife 
to Hugh Murphy as will appear by will of Hugh Murphy.  Wit:  R.E.
