18 Nov 1752 - Alexr. and Wm.  Sayers, Charles Sinclar and Humphrey Baker 
to appraise Daniel Murphy's estate, on Reed Creek.

16 May 1754 - James Murphy, child of Catharine Quin.

21 May 1754 - James Murphy, Sarah and Rebecca McGinas, children of Catharine 
Quins to be bound out, Catharine being a charge on the County.

21 Sep 1763 - Saml.  McDowell qualifies admr. of John Woods.  James McDowell 
qualifies Captain of Militia.  Felix Gilbert qualifies admr. of John Murphy.  
Felix Gilbert qualifies admr. of John Williams.

18 May 1768 - John Murphy, a witness from Bedford.

19 Mar l773 - Zachariah Murphy, child of Mark Murphy, who is unable to support 
him, to be bound out.

18 Aug 1773 - John Murphy - runaway servant of Thomas Tate.

20 Jan 1777 - Administration of estate of John Douglas granted to Charles 
Campbell.  Mary Murphy, next friend to deceased, appeared and relinquished 
her right.

20 Mar 1784 - John Bosler and Wm.  Murphy returned no inhabitants.

16 Jun 1789 - John Murphy appointed guardian of John and Nancy Murphy, orphans 
of William Murphy.

Aug 1767 - Hugh Murphy vs.  Joseph How, Defendant at New River.  Petition 28 
May 1767, not found.  Account, 1766:  "To your promise to pay me for my right 
of my wife's dower in the tract of land sold you by Mathew French."

Sep 1763 Gilbert vs Murphy.  John Murphy living at Connalloges, near 41.

31 Oct 1782 Goaler's account: . . . James Murphy, suspected deserter.

 27th March, 1798. John Murphy, Dr., to William Murphy's estate--Raising and 
schooling two of William's children, viz: Nancy and John Murphy.

1801--March 7, Daniel Murphy and John Aston, surety. Daniel Murphy and Margaret 
Aston, daughter of above John Aston.

Carrier vs. Caldwell--O. S. 197; N. S. TO--Deed dated 10th March, 1812, by 
Richard Carryer and Catherine, his wife, of Rockingham, to David Caldwell. 
Conveys 107 acres, part of 180 acres patented to Michael Hanagan, 15th May, 
1784, and by him devised to his daughter, Margaret Murphy, and granddaughter, 
Anne Rife, and by them with their husbands, Abraham Riff and James Murphy, 
conveyed to Richard Carryer, 21st August, 1910, in a place called the Forest. 
Recorded in Rockingham, September, 1812.

1781, January 2d.--William Miller's declaration of service in the Old Virginia 
Regiment. February 6th, John Bull's declaration of service as Captain in the 
Third Pennsylvania Regiment in 1758. March 6th, Nathaniel Sample, a soldier. 
April 3d, Christopher Trinkle, a soldier. May 1st, Thomas Owland, a soldier. 
August 7th, Charles Murphy, a soldier.
