The most magnificent looking woman in Washington is Madame Bertinatti.
She was Madame Bass, of Mississippi, and married the Italian Minister just
at the close of the war.  Her husband is now Minister at The Hague, and
she is passing the winter in Washington, prosecuting a large cotton claim.
