Between Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife of New Bethlehem Porter Township Clarion County Pennsylvania of the one part and Rueben Smith of New Bethlehem Township and County aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth:
That the said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty five Dollars lawful money of the United States unto them in hand paid by the said Reuben Smith at or before the sealing an delivery of these presents, the receipts, of which is hereby acknowledged, Have granted, bargained, sold aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said Rueben Smith.
All that certain piece or parcel of land situated in Villiage of New Bethlehem Clarion County Pennsylvania know as lot No. twenty two (22) a plot of said Township being recorded in Clarion County in Office for Recording.
Bounded and described as follows viz:
On the south by Water Street, on the west by lot number twenty one (21) on the north by an alley and on the east by lot twenty three (23)
Containing one fouth of an acers.
Being part of a large tract of land convey by Anna Wickoff to Henry Doverspike by deed dated 1st March 1831.
Recorded in Armstrong County Deed Book Vol. 7 Page 286 and 287 and from the heirs of said Henry Doverspike (deceased)
By deed dated 30th of October 1841 Recorded in Clarion County to George Doverspike and John Million and conveyed by said Doverspike and Million and wives to Jacob Shankel by deed dated 10th of June 1843 and conveyed by Jacob Shankle and wife to Henry Girts by deed dated 13 day of April 1846. And conveyed by said Henry Girts and wife by deed dated the 24th day of April 1850 to Henry Swonger.
Together with all sigulars the building, improvements, ways, water courses, rights, liberties, priviledges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining and revisions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and also all estate rights title, interest property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife in law, equity or otherwise however, of, in and to the same.
To Have And To Hold said described lot number twenty two (22) in New Bethlehem with the hereditments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intented so to be, with the appurtenance, and for the only proper use benifit and behoof of him the said Rueben Smith, his heirs and assigns, Forever.
AND the said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife, doth convenant, promise and agree to and with the said Rueben Smith his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife, and their heirs, the said described lot number twenty two (22) hereby granted with appurtenances, unto the said Rueben Smith and to his heirs and assigns, against them, the said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same or any part thereof.
Shall And Will Warrant And Forever Defend.

The said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife have to these presents set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the said county personally came the above named Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife and acknowledge the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desire the same might be recorded as such.
The said Elizabeth being of full age and being by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully know to her did of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act nd deed delivered the same without coercion or compulsion from her said husband.
Witness the hand and seal of said Justice the tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hunded and fifty.
