This Indenture made the twenty third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three.

Between Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife of the Township of Red Bank County of Clarion and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and Valentine Shindeldecker of the Township County and State aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth:

That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and seventy Dollars lawful money of the United States unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing an delivery of these presents, the receipts, of which is hereby acknowledged, Have granted, bargained, sold aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release,convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns.

All of lot fifty two (52) in the Villiage of [?] Clarion County Pennsylvania.

Bounded and described as follows viz:

Beginning at a stake, thence by Main Street eighty feet, thence by lot No. fifty three (53) one hundred and sixty feet, thence by lot No. fifty (50) one hundred and sixty feet to place of beginning

Which lot is part of a larger tract of land which was conveyed to W. C. Sloan by S. S. Jones. Tustie of the estate of Jacob Mohney (deceased)

By deed dated May the sixth one thousand eight hundred and sixty five which deed is recorded in Office of Recording Deeds in and of Clarion County in Deed Book J Page 503 and 504 by W. C. Sloan and Sarah his wife to Henry Swonger by deed dated April nineteeth one thousand eight hundred and seventy three. Reference thereto being had will more fully and at large appear.

Together with all the improvements, ways, water courses, rights, liberties, priviledges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining and revisions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and also all estate rights title, interest property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said parties of the first part in law, equity or otherwise however, of, in and to the same and every part thereof.

To Have And To Hold said described lot number fifty two (52) in said Villiage with the hereditments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intented so to be, with the appurtenance, and for the only proper use benifit and behoof of the second part, his heirs and assigns Forever.

AND the said Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife, the parties of the first part, their heirs, excutors, and administrators do by these presents convenant, promise and agree to and with the party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part their heirs, all sigulars the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted and mentioned, and intended to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said partie of the second part and to his heirs and assigns, against them, the said parties of the first part and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same or any part thereof.

Shall And Will Warrant And Forever Defend.

Received, the date above metioned, of the above named Valentine Shindeldecker, the sum of One hundred and seventy Dollars lawful money of the United States being the consideration money in full.

On the 23 day of September Anno Domini 1873 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the said county personally came the above named Henry Swonger and Elizabeth his wife and acknowledge the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desire the same might be recorded as such.

The said Elizabeth being of full age and being by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully know to her did of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed delivered the same without coercion or compulsion from her said husband.

Witness my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid.
