This Indenture made the twenty first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty.

Between Henry Girts and Sarah his wife of New Bethlehem Porter Township Clarion County Pennsylvania of the one part and Henry Swonger of Red Bank Township Clarion County Pennsylvania of the other part.

Witnesseth:

That the said Henry Girts and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Fourty Dollars lawful money of the United States unto them in hand paid by the said Henry Swonger at or before the sealing an delivery of these presents, the receipts, of which is hereby acknowledged, Have granted, bargained, sold aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents Do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said Henry Swonger.

All that certain piece or parcel of land situated in New Bethlehem Clarion County Pennsylvania know as lot No. twenty two (22) a plot or plan of said town being recorded in Clarion County in Office for Recording.

Bounded and described as follows viz:

On the south by Water Street, on the west by lot No. twenty one (21) on the north by an alley and on the east by lot No. twenty three (23)

Containing one fouth of an acers.

Being part of a large tract of land convey by Anna Wickoff to Henry Doverspike by deed dated 1st March 1831.

Recorded in Armstrong County Deed Book Vol. 7 Page 286 and 287 and from the said Henry Doverspike (deceased)

By deed dated 30th of October 1841 Recorded in Clarion County to George Doverspike and John Million and conveyed by said Doverspike and Million and wives to Jacob Shankel by deed dated 10th of June 1843 and conveyed by Jacob Shankle and wife to Henry Girts by deed dated 13 day of April 1846.

Together with all sigulars the building, improvements, ways, water courses, rights, liberties, priviledges, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining and revisions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and also all estate rights title, interest property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Henry Girts and Sarah his wife in law, equity or otherwise however, of, in and to the same.

To Have And To Hold said described lot number twenty two (22) in New Bethlehem with the hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned, and intented so to be, with the appurtenance, unto the said Henry Swonger, his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use benifit and behoof of him the said Henry Swonger and his heirs and assigns Forever.

And the said Henry Girts and Sarah his wife, doth convenant, promise and agree to and with the said Henry Swonger his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said Henry Girts and Sarah his wife, and their heirs, the said discribed lot number twenty two (22) hereby granted with appurtenances, unto the said Henry Swonger and to his heirs and assigns, against them, the said Henry Girts and Sarah his wife, and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same or any part thereof.

Shall And Will Warrant And Forever Defend.

The said Henry Girts and Sarah his wife have to these presents set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Clarion County, ss.

Before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the said county personally came the above named Henry Girts and Sarah his wife and acknowledge the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desire the same might be recorded as such.

The said Sarah being of full age and being by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully know to her did of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act nd deed delivered the same without coercion or compulsion from her said husband.
