Past Reunions

Frederick Rice and his wife, Catherine Lauffer, had 13 children, all born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, with 11 living to adulthood.  Many descendants of this couple live in western Pennsylvania, Northeastern Ohio (surrounding Wayne County) and in Northeastern Indiana, surrounding Huntington and Allen Counties).

Another objective of the 2000 Frederick Rice Family Reunion project is to update the genealogical record of the Frederick Rice family.  Above are links to a family lineage page and a family group sheet.  You can print these pages, fill them in and mail them to Marjorie Rice Chance or Lynne Rice to include your lineage in the updated family book, or you can submit it by email by clicking the Submit button.  Or you might want to download the family group sheet and pedigree forms from this website:  Ancestry.com.  Then print them using Adobe Acrobat Reader which is also available at this Web page. Fill them out, copy them, and mail a copy to reunion committee member Marjorie Rice Chance or Lynne Rice.

Please come back and visit this site often, for we intend to update it soon with new information about accommodations, travel options, the reunion schedule and other useful information as the reunion nears.  We also plan to add historical family pictures and stories about the history of the family.
