Sarah 4 Smith birthdates unknown. She died 26 Feb 1777 and is buried in the Arthur Smith burial ground.
Sarah married 6 Jan 1761 , David Tyler. The name of his father is unknown. His mother's name was Sarah, maiden name unknown. among the Smith family papers were records kept by Davids mother Sarah Tyler indicating that as early as 1747 she had been widowed. A record for payment of "Board for my son John" was kept for the years 1747-1754 inclusive. Another paper stated that "David, son of Sarah Tyler was apprenticed to Stephen Jayne blacksmith, Sep 1, 1751" and a note addressed "to my son William" was dated Apr 8, 1757. William, John and also David are buried in the Smithtown Presbyterian churchyard.
David and Sarah tyler had two daughters, one of whom Margaret was the grandmother of Sarah Ann Petty, wife of Issac J Smith.
The date of David's death is unknown. Sarah died 25th of Feb 1777, three days before the death of her baby daughter, perhaps from the same illness. The discrepancy between the birthdated of Margaret and Sarah suggests that there may have been other children. Sarah and the baby were buried together in the Smith family Cemetery.
