Eugene Ray Frederick [Parents] [scrapbook] ¹ was born 8 Aug 1885 in Sauk Centre, Stearns Co, Minnesota. He died 30 Apr 1964 in Scobey, Daniels Co, Montana and was buried May 1964 in Scobey Cemetery, Scobey, Daniels Co, Montana. Eugene married ² Mabel Irene Shaw on 27 Nov 1915 in Minot, Ward Co, North Dakota.

Eugene (E.R.) grew up in Minnesota (S. W. Frederick History) and later moved to Kenmare, North Dakota.  He homesteaded at Joplin in 1917, and took out a homestead in the Montana Bredette Community area in 1918.  Later, he moved to a farm south of Flaxville, Montana, where he lived the rest of his life.

Mabel Irene Shaw [Parents] [scrapbook] was born 29 Mar 1897 in Owatonna, Steele Co, Minnesota. She died 20 Dec 1949 in Scobey. Daniels Co, Montana and was buried Dec 1949 in Scobey Cemetery, Scobey, Daniels Co, Montana. Mabel married ¹ Eugene Ray Frederick on 27 Nov 1915 in Minot, Ward Co, North Dakota.

Mabel was adopted.

To satisfy the dying wishes of her mother, Matilda, Mabel and her sisters were raised in the Roman Catholic church.  Mabel's confirmation (first communion) was delayed by the old German Catholic priest, Father Wagner, who insisted Mabel receive additional training to understand her circumstances. The family stopped going to the Roman Catholic church when Father Wagner complained they were too noisy. They went to the Presbyterian church until they met the "good looking" son of the Methodist minister.  Because of the son, and because the Methodist church had a pipe organ (Mabel had a beautiful voice and loved to sing), the family changed to the Methodist church.  The Lutheran church was never considered, since the Lutherans only spoke Danish or Norwegian.     George Laughlin always changed his clothes to go to town.  On one trip to town, Mabel  noticed Eugene and his brothers wearing their work clothes. She remarked to Florence "Don't these 'Grease-Pelts' know enough to change their clothes before coming to town." Not long after, she was engaged to marry someone, but married the older of the 'Grease-Pelts'

Robert Norman Mc Donald was born 1885. He died 1945 in Great Falls, Cascade Co, Montana. Robert married Beryl Frederick on 20 Oct 1910 in Missoula, Missoula Co, Montana.

Beryl Frederick [Parents] ¹ was born 1887 in Sauk Center, Stearns Co, Minnesota. She died 1978 in Great Falls, Cascade Co, Montana. Beryl married Robert Norman Mc Donald on 20 Oct 1910 in Missoula, Missoula Co, Montana.

Leola A. Frederick [Parents] ¹ was born 16 Dec 1889. She was buried (UNKNOWN) in Lake Amelia Cemetery, Pope Co, MN. Leola married Gerald H. Fallon on 4 May 1918.

"Dude" was very tall and elegant.  She earned her nickname because she could look immaculate wearing anything.  Gerald was the customs officer at Whitetail, Montana, for many years.    Lived in Silverton Oregon.
