Woodcock Township is Venango's neighbor to the southeast.
The township is named for its abundance of woodcocks, and was
formed in 1829 from portions of Mead and Rockdale townships.
The first settlers came to Woodcock Township in 1791.
Colonel Crawford Park and Woodcock Creek Lake are popular
recreation areas in the township.
