U.S. Post Office

The Venango Post Office was established on February 26, 1849. It was located
on the corner of Cussewago & Church Streets. In 1889 it was located in a general
store across from the present building, on Cussewago Street.
It was re-located to the Waid & Armagost General Store on Cussewago Street in 1894.
From 1905 to 1968, the post office was located on the first floor of the Odd Fellows
Building. On September 14, 1968, the dedication of the new post office building was
held on the corner of Meadville and Cussewago streets, where it is currently located.
