The headwaters of French Creek are in Chautauqua County, New York, west
of Chautauqua Lake. It runs through Waterford in Erie County, south
through Cambridge Springs, then Venango and Meadville. It enters the
Allegheny River at Franklin in Venango County.
French Creek runs from the north side of Venango, along the east side,
and finally along the south side. It marks the village boundary on
these sides.
