G lyndon was settled by Reuben and Abraham Blakeslee (father and son).
They came from Washington County, New York to Meadville in 1817, and then
on to Sparta Township on April 11th, 1818.
Reuben died July 20, 1848, aged sixty-two years old. His wife Prudence died
February 8, 1851, also sixty-two years of age.
