Cambridge Township is Venango's neighbor to the northeast. It was incorporated
in 1852, and first settled in 1797.
Cambridge Township was formed in 1852 from a portion of Venango Township.
It is named after the Borough of Cambridge, which was named by its founder,
Mr. Christy. The Borough was named after Mr. Christy's hometown of Cambridge,
Massachusetts.
The township is bounded partially by French Creek on its west. The creek runs
through the central portion of the township.
While still an agricultural area, the township is home to several businesses.
Riverside Golf Course, located north of Cambridge Springs, is in the township.
