She is one of 13

Fox and George Washington Mays rode horseback for
two and a half days to Jellico, Tenn., to be
married.
They settled down to a life of
farming and raising children. They had 11

are: Martha Elizabeth Evans, Gausdale; Rebecca
Pritchard, Route 3; Sarah Logan, Bryant's Store;
Amy Bryan, New Haven; W. G. Mays, Bryant's Store;
Ceci Mays, Conyers, GA; Edward and Laura Mays,
both of Bryant's Store and Easter Warfield,
Rockhold, and Clifton Mays, deceased.
"Grandma is in generally
good health," said grand daughter Ruby L.
Cobb. "She has only spent six days of
her life in a hospital." (August 1962, when
she fell and broke her arm).
Mrs. Mays believes in staying
home and has never done very much traveling out
of Knox County.
