Miss Martha German is Bride of Leon Nast at Early Church Wedding new_small.gif (1039 bytes)

  The marriage of Miss Martha German, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Bubb to Leon Nast, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Nast, took place at 7 o'clock this morning in the First Evangelical church. The Rev. Mr. J. H. Fleckenstein, pastor of the church officiated.
  The bride had as her attendant her sister, Miss Margaret German. Mr. Nast had as his best man his brother, Vincent Nast, of Philadelphia. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Harry S. Bubb. Olaf Seybert, church organist played the wedding music, and gave a short recital before the ceremony.
  The bride wore a pink georgette frock, with a hat to match. Her bouquet was of pink roses and bridal wreath, tied with pink ribbon. The bridesmaid wore a frock of yellow georgette, with matching hat, and carried pink roses tied with yellow ribbon.
  Nearly two hundred guests attended the wedding. Out-of-town guests were present from Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg, and Philadelphia. Following the ceremony an informal reception for the guests was held at the Bubb home on Louisa street.
  Mrs. Nast is a graduate of the Williamsport high school, class of 1925. She is employed at the Lycoming Trust company. Mr. Nast is a graduate of the local high school, class of 1922, and is associated with the Williamsport Harvester company.
  Mr. and Mrs. Nast left this morning on a two-weeks motor trip through Canada. On their return they will be at home at 433 Academy street.
  Mrs. Nast has been the guest of honor at a number of social affairs recently. Among those who entertained for her were Mrs. Frank Haug, Mrs. Fenton Hayes and Mrs. Max Nicely.

The marriage of Carol L. Fulkrod and Jerome Rickard took place Saturday, May 3, in the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, Pine City.
    The Rev. Frederick L. Turner officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford E. Fulkrod of 221 Mt. Zoar St. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome P. Rickard of 156 Boardman St.
    Susan C. Fullerton of Elmira was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan A. Fulkrod, Janet E. Scribner, and Amy C. Fullerton, all of Elmira; Shyrlie A. Bockus of Lindley; and Lisa A. Goodnough of Webster, N.Y.
    Flower girl was Sara C. Fullerton of Elmira.
    Serving as best man was Kevin M. Fullerton of Elmira, Ushers were Gordon E. Fulkrod, Mark E. Corby, Marty J. Benjamin, and Shawn P. Rickard, all of Elmira; and Denton F. Bockus of Lindley.
    The reception was held at Masia's Restaurant, Pine City.
    The couple graduated from Southside High School, she in 1982 and he in 1983.
    The couple are employed by Super Duper.
    The couple lives at 312 Catherine St., after returning from a trip to Garden City, S.C.

Mr. and Mrs. James Gulliver, of North Main Street, observed their fifty-seventh wedding anniversary, Dec. 22. They have two boys, Albert Gulliver, of Upper Darby, and George Gulliver, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Lynn Vermilya, of Muncy; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Married in Williamsport in 1886, they have lived in Muncy about 40 years. Mr. Gulliver, whose hobby is gardening, worked for the Tidewater Oil Company for 55 1/2 years, and is now retired.

Enos -- Foulkrod
     WATERLOO -- Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Helen Janet Enos and David Aaron Foulkrod in Methodist Church of Seneca Falls on Saturday May 26.
     The Rev. Gary Hakes performed the noon ceremony. Mrs. Folts was the organist.
     The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mannix and the bridegroom is the son of Hilton Foulkrod and the late Helen Foulkrod.
     Mr. Mannix escorted his daughter to the alter which was decorated with lavender mums.
     The bride wore a full-length white gown featuring a high lace collar and V-yoke of illusion trimmed with lace and seed pearls. Lace trimmed the long tapered sleeves and circled the hemline and chapel length train. Her headpiece held a fingertip veil of illusion.
     The bride carried a bouquet of carnations, daisies and baby's breath.
     Debbie Prosser was maid of honor and Angela Jean Enos, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
     Richard Marble served as best man, and Vincent Enos, brother of the bride, was the usher.
     Paula Vasile, cousin of the bride was the flower girl and Ian Marble, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
     The reception for 50 guests was given at the Open Hearth. Music was provided by Mike McKirn.
     The bride is a graduate of Romulus Central School and is employed at Elston Electronics in Geneva.
     The bridegroom graduated from Mynderse Academy and is employed at Jem-Co Tool in Seneca Falls.
     Following a honeymoon trip to Virginia Beach, Va., the couple are at home at 2165 Black Brook Road, Seneca Falls.

Brogdon -- Smith
    
WATERLOO -- The wedding of Miss Bonnie Brogdon and Ronald J. Smith took place Friday, Oct. 9, in Pasadena, Texas. The couple were married by Judge Phillips in City Hall.
     The bride is the daughter of Janice Brogdon of 712 Blackwell St., LaPorte, Texas.
     The bridegroom is the son of Louis C. and Jeannette Smith of 101 Center St., Waterloo.
     The uncle of the bride, Jerry Brogdon, and her cousin, Danny Brogdon, played guitar and sang.
     The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Arthur Platt. She carried a fan with white carnations and red roses.
     The bride wore a white lace tea-length dress with a square neckline, short cape sleeves, and a white satin ~~ and bow trimming the skirt.
     Shelly Brogdon was the matron of honor and the bridesmaide was Julie Rawson. Tammy Brogdon, sister of the bride, was the ring bearer.
     Louis C. Smith was his son's best man.
     The bridegroom is a graduate of Midlakes High School.
     The couple plan to remain in Texas until next year when they plan to return to New York State.

Smith -- Sachs
    
WATERLOO -- Calvary Lutheran Church was the setting for the wedding of Alice Ann (Penny) Smith and Michael Sachs on Feb. 18. The Rev. Earl W. Schmiesing officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony.
     The bride is the daughter of Louis and Jeanette Smith of 19 Swift St. The bridegroom is the son of Ronald and Marian Sachs of 7 Seneca Place, Seneca Falls.
     Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length turquoise gown with empire waist.
     Attending the couple were Roxanne Deal and David Bishop.
     The couple will reside in Texas.
