Hans/Johann Adam & Juliana Catherina (----------) Fuckroth/Fuckeroth, arrived in
Philadelphia on the ship Samuel in August, 1733,--they are the earliest progenitors of the
known Foulkrod lineages in America.

Foulkrod
Philip & Barbara (Page) Foulkrod are the earliest known
members of an unconnected Foulkrod line who first appear in Lycoming County, PA in the
early 1800s. To date, every effort to determine the connection between this Philip
Foulkrod and the Foulkrod's of the Philadelphia area have failed. Presently, and the
only hope left, is to discover some connection through his wife's families
documentation. Consequently, this site contains a considerable amount of information
on the Barge/Bertsch/Page line. Currently, we are down to only three potential
documents to aid us in this endeavor. These are; (1) deeds in Lycoming & Mifflin
counties for Barbara's father, Michael Barge, (2) a will (if exists) of Michael Barge, and
(3) a sheriff's sale for Michael Barge's land which purportedly was purchased by his
children.
More recently an abstract of will for Christopher Schaber of Penns Township, Northumberland County was discovered by FRG Member, Belinda Keal, which mentions his daughter, Elizabeth's husband, Philip Folckroth. See Christopher Schaber's Will. By approximating ages, it seems likely that this Philip Folckroth is one of the two sons named Philip by Jacob & Anna Christina (ergo, Philip3 (Jacob2, Hans Adam1). Two issues remain, however, to be resolved before this hypothesis can be proven,--(1) did Philip & Elizabeth (Schaber) Folckroth/Foulkrod have a son before Philip disappeared; and (2) where was Philip Folckroth & Elizabeth Schaber married (so a marriage record can be found).
