TURNBULL - FERRIS 
On Saturday afternoon July 16, St. John's Anglican church at Tillsonburg was the scene of a pretty summer wedding when Kathleen Minnie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ferris of Turkey Point became the bride of Murray Alvin Turnbull, younger son of Mrs. J A Hockey of Tillsonburg, Rev. A C  Cummer officiating. The bride given in marriage by Alfred Reed of Toronto was charmingly gowned in Alice blue chiffon with white accessories and carried a bouquet of roses and lily of the valley. 
Mrs. Alex Bellas, sister of the groom acted as bridesmaid and wore a gown of yellow crepe with white accessories and carried a bouquet of snapdragons and roses. Alex Bellas assisted the groom. During the signing of the register, Mrs. Wilma Robertson Curtis sang 'At Dawning' by Charles Wakefield Cadman. Fletcher Bradburn played the wedding music. Following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served at the home of the groom's mother, Sanders street. Later the bride and groom left on a honeymoon trip, during which they will visit several Ontario points. Mr and Mrs. Turnbull will reside at Clear Creek.

MRS. J J CHURCH
WATERFORD: The death occurred at the home of her daughter Mrs. A R Moyer, Toronto, on Sunday July 24 of Mrs. J J Church in her 94th year. Her maiden name was Esther Pitman and she was born in England, coming to this country at the age of six years. On January 8, 1864 she married J J Church at Port Rowan, the ceremony being performed by the late Elder Haviland. They moved to Waterford soon after their marriage where they resided until the death of Mr. Church in January 1934. Mrs. Church going to Toronto soon after his death to live with her daughter, Mrs. Moyer. She was one of the oldest members of the Waterford Baptist Church.
Left to mourn their loss are one son, W J Church of Waterford and two daughters, Mrs. D H Duckworth of Cherry Valley and Mrs. A R Moyer of Toronto. The funeral service will be held from the home of Mr. W J Church, Waterford on Wednesday July 27 at 3 pm and interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.

COOK - In Fresno California on Oct 6, 1938 Charles Chauncey Cook third son of the late Mr. amd Mrs. Chauncey Cook of Forestville, in his 68th year. 

CHARLES C COOK
Word has been received here of the death in Freseno, California on Oct 6th of Charles Chauncy Cook, in his 68th year, third son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chancey Cook of Forestville. Mr. Cook spent his boyhood years at Forestville, later going to British Columbia and from there to the Klondike in the gold rush days. After spending sixteen years in the gold fields he returned to Ontario in 1908 for a short visit, returning again to British Columbia where for some years he conducted a real estate business. He later moved to California where he resided until his death.
Mr. Cook was unmarried and leaves to mourn his loss, two brothers, Sheldon of Windsor, recently of St. Thomas, who was for many years light house keeper at Long Point; Burton of Freemont Michigan and one sister Mrs. Lee Beaupre of St. Thomas. Besides his parents, two brothers and a sister predeceased him some years ago, Sherman of Alexandria LA, John of Port Rowan and Lizzie at home.

DeLORNE McDONALD
Port Royal: Following a six days' illness of pneumonia, DeLorne McDonald of South Walsingham passed away on November 6th. He was in his 86th year. Mr. McDonald was born in Copenhagen Ontario and in April 1894 was married in Erie View to the former Edith Bailey who survives him. He is also survived by three sons and three daughters, one brother and a sister.
The funeral was held on November 9th from the family residence. Relatives in attendance were from St. Thomas, Alymer, Ingersoll, Port Rowan, Clear Creek and Walsingham. Rev J Taylor pastor of Houghton First Baptist Church conducted the service at which Mrs. Taylor sang very sweetly 'Some Day I'll Meet Him There' The pall bearers were J C Foster, H Walsh, Salem Franklin and J H Anderson. Interment was in Port Royal Cemetery.

WILLIAM ALBERT BAILEY 
Port Rowan: The death occurred here yesterday of William Albert Bailey, aged 75 years. He was a native of Forestville and had spent the greater part of his life in this district where he achieved quite a reputation as a boat builder. Mr. Bailey was married in Cayuga to Miss Emma Lalonde, who survives him and during his early life was a jeweler by trade residing in Dunnville before moving to  Port Rowan. He acquired the  R K Smith business in 1912, but retired about 20 years ago to devote his time to boat building.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Lorne and Wilfred both of Port Rowan; one daughter Mrs. William Huff, Wayne Michigan; five sisters; Mrs. Edith McDonald of Erie View, Mrs. Olive McDonald of Houghton, Mrs. Mane Snook of Port Rowan, Mrs. Lily Vyes of Ingersoll and Mrs. Louise Jones, Clear Creek. Another son Earl and a sister both predeceased him.
The funeral will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon with interment in Forestville.
