   In MEMORIAM
       BAILEY
- In living memory of my dear mother, Mrs. Caroline Bailey, who passed away one year ago, Oct 2, 1930.

 Even though death has a wonderful mission,
Though it robs of us those we love;
It lifts our hearts from our surroundings
To long for that meeting above.
No matter how heavy the burden
No matter how great the despair
Doesn't heaven seem nearer and dearer
To know our dear mother is there ?

       - Sadly missed by Daughter Lilly

Mrs. Roy Cook and son Leroy, Mr. and Mrs. John Franklin, Alma Franklin, Mrs. Lewis Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Franklin and Jack Pittman attended the wedding of Miss Marie Spence and Blake Franklin in Buffalo on Friday.

About 40 neighbors and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Davis and gave them a surprise and variety shower on Thursday evening.

Mrs. Catherine Moore one of our oldest residents, passed away on Sunday night, August 24 after an illness of two weeks, at the age of 83. Mrs. Moore was highly respected and had lived here for 61 years. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, Melvin of Maysville NY and Freeman of Simcoe and three brothers, J Overbaugh, H Overbaugh of Port Rowan and F Overbaugh of Erie View; also three sisters, Mrs. Beckinson of Jarvis, Mrs. H Pitman and Miss Hannah Overbaugh of this place. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Baptist Church and was largely attended by friends. The service was conducted by Mr. Barringer of Port Rowan, assisted by Blake Franklin.
