Here Charles operated a dairy farm selling milk to the surrounding poplace. Children from this marriage all baptised at St Georges Church were:- (1) Henry bap 5th Jan 1819 who must have died pre 1828 (2) John Bap 18 Feb 1822, became a yeoman farmer (dairyheard) who married by licence to Sarah Squire COX at Holy Trinity Church Dorchester on 25th Nov 1841. They have sufficient wealth to send their youngest son Henry (then aged 12) to the boarding school run by the headmaster William WATSON in High West Street, whilst Charles is teaching both his sons John & Charles his business at home. In 1851 Charles is recorded as a dairyman Milk Seller resident near 'The Cross'. As far as I can tell they seem to have always run the farm there and used accommodation at Fordington Hill as a dairy shop from which they sold milk]

Their son Charles HONEYBUN Junior (1825-1880) married a Sarah Ann ( I have not been able to locate a marriage but she was born in Fordington) and had 8 children (1860-1876) and lived initially at the Cross Fordington moving to Fordington Hill about the middle of 1863 and then King Street ten years later. See also this Link to information about his appearance at the County Petty Sessions in 1867 (2) Rosanna [Rosina] Prowse bap 4th Aug 1833 she married on 6th Nov 1854 to John JOLIFFE a labourer also from Holloway. (5) Anne Prowse privately baptised 8th Jan 1843 but not received into the church until 29th September. Private baptisms in Holloway Row were normally carried out at or shortly after birth in the house, in this case by the Rev William Dodge curate of St George, because of worry over whether the child would survive. (6) Charles Daniel Prowse privately baptised by Rev William Dodge 2nd Nov 1845. He died at the age of 4 being buried at Fordington on 19th Nov 1845. (7) Robert Prowse shown with his other siblings in the 1851 Census but for whom we have not located a baptism. He married Caroline Purchase at Holy Trinity church in Dorchester the daughter of a gardener on 6th Apr 1873 (8) Elizabeth Jane Prowse born 1st qtr 1855 again no baptism located. She married at Fordington to Robert Humphrey Moors on 22nd June 1884.

Despite living in Holloway Row which was part of the area in Fordington hit by the 1849 and 1854 outbreaks of Cholera, none of their family seem to have been infected. See the life of the Rev Henry Moule (1801-1880) whose efforts saved many peoples lives, and the Account of the 1854 Outbreak. Henry PROWSE died at the age of 70 in the Union Workhouse and was buried at Fordington on 24th July 1900.
