Last Will & Testament of
William Williams
Line of descent, William, Tobias, Nancy, Tobias Russell, Louisa, Wilford Morgan, Bob Morgan, Kenneth Morgan
In the name of God Amen this 31st (?) day of February 1786, I William
Williams of the county of Casewell and State of North Carolina being
sick in body but perfect in mind and memory, thanks be given to God for
the same, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life do make this
my last will and testament ....
to wit: first, I give and bequeath to my
son Tobias Williams, part of my land .... on the head of Mirey Branch ..
to him during his natural life and at his death, to his daughter
Pricilla.
Second, I give to my daughter Mary Williams, all the
remaining of my lands of the north side of the above mentioned branch...
whereon I live... to be at her sole disposal forever.
Thirdly, I give
and bequeath to my daughter Agness Williams and Obedience Williams the
remaining part of my land being on the south side of the above mentioned
branch, to be equally divided between them by my executors.
Lastly, I
give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Williams above mentioned and to
Agness daughter of Obedience Williams (base born) the whole of my
personal estate remaining after my just debets and funeral charges are
paid and it is my will that in dividing the same that my bed be put in a
lot given to said Agness and I do hereby appoint my trusty friends, John
Campbell and Williams Rainey as executors of this my last will and
testament....
