MOLLIE SELF RODEN

Mollie Self Roden was born December 16, 1869 in Marion County, Alabama and departed this life February 18, 1954 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage to Frank Roden in the year 1896. To this union 7 children were born, one preceding her in death in infancy. Another daughter, Mrs. Ethel Estes, died in 1952.

Surviving are her husband, Frank, 3 sons, Luther and William of Greenway and Jack of Paragould; 2 daughters, Mrs. Will Harris, Cancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Rosa Lee Huff, Greenway; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; 2 brothers, J. D. Self, and Tom Self of Brilliant, Ala., and a number of nieces and nephews.

She obeyed the Gospel in her early womanhood. Her long Christian life will be a great influence on her family for many years. Her membership has been with the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ since 1925.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20th, 1954, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, conducted by Bro. Harland Head, assisted by Bro. H. E. Flynt.

Burial was made at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway with Russell Mortuary in charge.
