Mrs. Mary Marguerite Smith, aged 67, widow of the late Charles Smith who died in 1924, died at 12:35 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Noah A. Cline, of the Lake Street road, east of the Eight Mile creek bridge. Her death followed a three weeks illness due to complication of diseases.
She was a native of Illinois, but had been a resident of this section many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the family residence and burial will be made in the Linwood cemetery. The Rev. J.L. Shelby, former pastor of the East Side Methodist church, but now a pastor at Ft. Smith, will officiate.
Deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. H.E. May of route two, Mrs. Noah Cline of this city, and Mrs. Robert Morgan of route two; three sons, L.N. Smith of Melville, La., R.L. Smith of North Second street, and Earl Smith who resides near this city; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
