Windridge Memorial Park and Nature Sanctuary, Cary, McHenry County, Illinois

This is truely one of the saddest stories I have seen. I can remember when this bus accident happened. I was getting ready for work and just couldn't seem to pull myself away from the T.V. waiting for any news of how the children were. The bus was actually pulled from its Chasie. Little did I know that my 2nd cousin was one of the children who perished in this accident. While I never met Stephanie, her mother, or for that matter I'm not sure if I ever met her Grandma, my great aunt, I know that my heart went out to this family and each of these seven families not to mention the children who survived and all who were touched in one way or another by this terrible accident. When I went to the cemetery and took this photograph we actually met Joey aka Joseph's mother who was at the cemetery cleaning the gravesite. She told me that the cemetery donated all of these plots to the family. The other two children were not buried here. One is buried in a family plot elsewhere and the other child was buried in a Jewish cemetery.
