At the tender age of six she was deprived by death of fond mother's love and care, but God had given her a brave, tender-hearted father who loved and trusted in God and taught his children to do so.
In October 1905, she was married to Tom Henry of Star, and to this union was born one sone, John Henry of Evant...
"Sister Lou" as she was lovingly called is survived by the following loved ones: John Henry of Evant; two small grandchildren, Mildred Fay and Glen Henry; two brothers, Ed Cox of Quannah, Texas, and Ben Cox of Star. The sister are Mrs. Mattie Know of Compton, Cal., Mrs W. T. Skinner, Clint, Texas; and Mrs R. C. Campbell of Evant, Texas.
Her frail tired body was laid to rest in the Hearst Ranch Cemetery beneath a mound of lovely flowers given by friends to soothe and brighten sad hearts. The comforting funeral service was conducted by Rev. Ozro Newton of Pottsville....1 |
