Note on Wife: Elizabeth Miller PATERSON
In the early days, the Hospital for Sick Children relied upon donations and fund-raising activities to secure much of its equipment. Brisbane socialite, Mrs. Alexander Raff was a generous benefactor who donated 100 pounds of furnishings soon after the Hospital's opening.13
