Article from The Washington, Pa. Daily Reporter
newspaper, Washington Co., Pa., Oct. 15, 1927, page unknown:
"Thomas S. Newcomer Is Recovering From Injuries - Thomas S.
Newcomer, of 141 Jefferson avenue, who was seriously injured in an
automobile accident July 4, at Meadowlands, and who has been laid up
ever since, is again at his home. He has lately been with his son, L. H.
Newcomer, at Wheeling, W. Va.
He was confined to the Washington hospital several weeks
and since that time has been at the homes of his children. He is still
confined a part of the time to his bed.
In that accident Mrs. Newcomer received what was at
first thought not to be serious injuries. She got along well for a few
days and then took a turn for the worse and died suddenly. Mr. and Mrs.
E. C. Caldwell, the latter formerly of Burgettstown, will make their
home with Mr. Newcomer."
