Mrs. Martha Hellen Blackhurst Zelt

Mrs. Wray G. Zelt, Sr. - Mrs. Martha Hellen Blackhurst Zelt, 86, formerly of 143 North Avenue, Washington, died Wednesday, July 23, 1969 in Bethel Park Convalescent Home. She was born Dec 31, 1882 in North Franklin Township, a daughter of Thomas A. and Rachel Adams Blackhurst. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Washington.

Mrs. Zelt attended the McElree School of Washington. She was active in Family Service. She was also a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans.

June 1, 1904 she married Wray G. Zelt, who died Oct 12, 1935. Surviving are a son, Attorney Wray G. Zelt, Jr., Washington, a grandson, Attorney Wray G. Zelt III, Washington; a granddaughter, Martha A Zelt, Philadelphia, and a brother Marshall H. Blackhurst, Clearwater, Fla. She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel D. Zelt, Feb 28, 1952. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, George, Samuel, James and Robert, and one sister, Ada Blackhurst.
