"NOBLE - In Claysville, on the 10th instant, Mrs. Walter Noble,
aged __ years.
BRADEN - At his residence at ten Mile, Pa., James F. Braden, Monday
morning, June 11, aged [43 or 48] years.
BAKER - On Saturday, June 9th, a son of daniel Baker, of Amwell
township, of scarlet fever, aged 4 years."
WILSON - On Thursday, May 24th, 1877, in Fallowfield township, of
consumption, Annie G. Wilson, in the 17th year of her age.
HALLAM - At the residence of her parents in this borough, on the [2d ?]
instant, Miss Lizzie Hallam, aged [1 ? - one?] years.
PATTERSON - On June 3d, in Cross Creek, Mrs. Martha, wife of Wm.
Patterson.
WALKER - At the residence of her son in Brooke county, W. Va., Mrs.
Sarah, wife of Alexander Walker of Jefferson township, Washington
county, Pa."

"DEATHS - In Canonsburg, Pa., on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1878 of
paralysis Mrs. Linn at an advanced age."

Washington Co., Pa., June 7, 1878, page unknown:
[article's beginning was cut off...] "...was buried March 24th,
1874. Another body, that of J. H. Curry, which had been buried about
three years, was also petrified. The features of neither had changed,
especially Jamison's, whose [veins ?] showed prominently. The color of
the body was as natural as the day he was put in the ground. He was a
man that weighed 200 pounds and it took six men to remove the body from
the grave. His wife and twelve other bodies removed were all decomposed.
The remains of all were re-interred in the cemetery at Rice's Landing. -
[caps] Stutman [caps]."

"Shot in __ Theatre - Baltimore, October 15? - John M. Nelson,
the medical student, shot last night at the Front Street Theatre, died
shortly after 3 o'clock this morning. He was [23 ?] years old, son of a
farmer in Queen Anne county. Nelson, after attending college yesterday,
went last night with a brother-in-law to witness the performance at the
theatre. They were seated in the front row of seats in the orchestra
circle, and at the close of the performance as the curtain fell upon the
tableaux?, there was a discharge of musketry. Young Nelson was gazing
silently upon the scene, and simultaneously with the report of the guns,
he clasped his hand to his forehead, exclaiming, "I am shot,"
and sank down unconscious. A large sized minnie ball had crushed through
his skull, entering the forehead just above the right eye. |

Donahey, in her 77th year.
"McClelland - John K. McClelland died at his residence near
Eldersville, Pa. Oct. 16th, aged 53 years.
"FRAZIER - In Canonsburg, on the 19th inst. Miss Eliza Frazier,
aged about 49 years." |
