Bergin parents

Patrick Bergin is the half-brother of Anna Bergin (who married Patrick Fitzpatrick). Their father is James Bergin of Monamonra (Monamondra), County Laois, Ireland.

Katherine Fitzpatrick is the sister of Patrick Fitzpatrick (who married Anna Bergin), James Fitzpatrick , and Daniel Fitzpatrick.  Their parents were Daniel Fitzpatrick and Margaret Mara of Errill, County Laois, Ireland.

PATRICK BERGIN was b. in 1844 or earlier, and died in Errill, County Laois, Ireland.  Patrick's father was JAMES BERGIN. We believe his mother was Mary Lowry.

On May 06, 1869, PATRICK BERGIN married KATHERINE FITZPATRICK  b. ca. 1848 in Rathdowney, Co. Laois, Ireland. She was the daughter of DANIEL FITZPATRICK and MARGARET MARA.

The family story says that when Patrick Fitzpatrick left Castlefleming Heath for the U.S., he left the property that he rented to Patrick Bergin.
