Software:

I have tried several software programs some only as a demo! and these are some of the best I have found they are in order of my preference:

  1. Legacy Software program (free) for me Legacy is one of the better programs you can get.
  2. FTM- Family Tree Maker (you can Buy it) I really loved  FTM 4.0 but can't justify the expenses of such a program here in Australia, which is how come i now use Legacy.
  3. IGI- Family Search/ PAF software (free) program. i keep this for GED.COM's, i don't practically like the latest effort from IGI, it seems cumbersome, difficult to navigate and heaven help you when you need to merge data.
  4. Brothers Keeper- (free)
